Some of the posts are ridiculous on this matter. It isn’t about riding a freaking goat. If Masons, Scottish Rite and Shriners that attempt to help others in the community, children etc are a cult than let it be so. There is certainly no ill will done upon others.

I know. I was just having fun. Traveling man myself.

What are the freemasons about?

As far as a "traveling man", I traveled for over 20 years while working telecom construction. What did I miss?

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

It’s all about the goats. In some countries its a lot more fun riding the goats. It really depends on what’s for dinner

I traveled for my job every week for 8 years, it wasn't all it's cracked up to be. Seriously though, I have some friends that are shriners. They were trying to get me to join. Then I was told how I had to join a masonic lodge first before becoming a shriner, got some of the membership material/instructions, hung out with the shriners a good bit and saw some of their fraternity style antics on new members. I did the fraternity thing in college, didn't seem like something I wanted to go thru as a functioning adult.

Arguing with ignorant people is like playing chess against a chicken , even if you win the chicken is gonna shucks on the board and strut around like they won....jrs89 As a Christian aren’t most people worshipful or reverent or adoring or devout or dutiful? All those are synonyms (the same ) for people with a lesser vocabulary.

I don't know all the workings of the Masons but I don't think they fit the definition of a cult, at least not what the FBI and other LE consider a cult. A cult is usually, but not always, formed around religious beliefs and the followers adhere to the dictates of one person.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

oh it's a religious organization. I guarantee you that much. They may do good for the community but they are a great deception!

Wow! Sure all the work to do good is nothing but a way to deceive everyone that’s not a mason. I knew I was missing something, thanks for clearing it up for me.

My FIL was a 23rd degree mason which entails this.

M23rd degree - Chief of the Tabernacle: This degree teaches that the man who forgets his duty to God, family, country, and himself will be in danger of morally and spiritually destruction by thoughts unworthy ambition. The apron is white, bordered with red, blue, and purple ribbons. These colors, from the curtains of the Tabernacle, represent earth, fire, air, and sea, respectively, as well as the Lord's beneficence, glory, wisdom, and power. On the apron is the golden seven-branched candlestick, representing the seven planets and virtues: Sun, faith ("aspiration toward the infinite"); Moon, hope; Venus, charity; Mars, fortitude ("victory over rage and anger"); Mercury, prudence; Saturn, temperance; Jupiter (conqueror of the Titans), justice. The jewel is a small silver censer, or ornamented cup, held by a handle in the shape of an open hand.

The definition I posted isn’t my opinion, it’s literally the definition

“a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.”
