Not even 1 person has mentioned the 6.5 creedmoor. Those guys are probably too busy telling their buddies how it’s the best thing that has ever happened to deer hunting since corn to read this thread. The only thing that a creedmor has that a .270 doesn’t is the ability to be built on an AR platform. Besides that a .270 is the absolute best North American big game Rifle for shots out to 500 yards. Beyond that it gets interesting. Not outside 100 it’s a 12g slug all day long. You can get a 270 in an AR Where? I’ve never seen any long action cartridges built in the AR platform
