I spoke with ammon today via text he said Woodrow went out doing what he loved for sure. He said it was always in the back of his mind especially in deeper water. He said his last meal was chik fillet. Tough loss in think his final tally was 118 deer found. That's pretty amazing feat. I know ammon and him were tight has the pleasure of meeting them both at our blood tracking seminar. Woodrow was a special dog. It will make me think for sure every time I turn Ada loose. But that's what they do. They love us unconditionally and love their job. RIP WOODROW GO FIND DA DEER!!!! #GUTSHOTSMATTER #SHOOTEMINDAGUTS.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

I could watch this dog work all day every day. He found my biggest buck to date and I had all but given up hope after tracking the buck for many hours before giving Ammons a call. As he said in his post, when Woodrow jumped out I thought how is this little dog going to find my deer in huge CRP fields and crossing a creek...he found my deer in no time and sat on top of it as if he was showing us who’s deer it really was. From that day forward I told anyone that would listen about how amazing it was to see a great tracking dog work. Thanks to you both again, hate to hear the news, but know he made a lot of hunters very happy.

Just read some of Woodrow’s stories on FB - he was clearly admired and respected by all - truly sorry for your loss.

I saw a youtube video one time of a kangaroo drowning what looked like a pit bull.
Dog never had a chance.

RIP Woodrow.
Anybody know what breed Woodrow was ? Cool looking little dog. He was a mix. RIP Woodrow. It's sad. I loved reading his and Ammon's stories. I had the privilege to watch him work last year too. Ammon is a great guy and Woodrow was an awesome dog. It makes me so sad for him.

Whew! That’s rough. It’s hard to give ‘em up or at least it is for me.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
