My point was that Jesus, the originator of Christianity, would never have been involved with all the pagan non-Christian traditions that are rolled together into a holiday that is supposed to honor him.
I'll bite. How do you know Jesus would have never been involved in a celebration of giving??? Jesus was God's gift to us so that through him he understood the human condition. Our perils, struggles our joy and our pain. Through him he granted us his Grace. Christmas is when we celebrate that.
