Most of what's being suggested is "series" type shows. Since you specifically requested a movie, my wife and I watched a movie on Netflix not too long ago called Wind River. It had Jeremy Renner as a Game Warden and Elizabeth Olsen as an FBI agent in Wyoming looking into the murder of a Native American girl. I thought it was an outstanding movie. I second this movie on Netflix! It was good! Also, not necessarily a "tough guy" movie, but "Wonder" (on Amazon) was really good. If you can watch Wonder and not cry, you're just a hard sonofagun. For series, I'd HIGHLY recommend Bosch (on Amazon)
