Lot a y'all not gonna agree, but one best days ever had was yesterday, not killing a deer.

Couple turkeys (jake and long beard) walked around me peckin the ground for about a hour and came within 15 yds. Not a deer came out and only heard far off rifle blast twice at 4:45. As I was leaving (Peachburg, east a Union Springs) I sometimes swing off the road and run the headlights thru a couple pecan orchards. Wish y'all could a seen it. Seven, maybe more, bouncin around not knowin what to do or where to go. White tails up high jumping high and movin fast. There was one more spot. As I turn this corner my lights always drill this, about 1 acre clearing, between woods and more woods. There were about 7 more AND... the big man deer. The heart started throbin hard just a lookin at him. Most a the others split, but he just stood there ready to fight the headlights he was lookin at or the person behind um. What a stud. No fear of me or the lights or the sound of my diesel clunkin away. No kiddin, he was ready to ram the truck. Even after the end of all this, five more I spotted on the way back to the house.

Now I bet y'all gonna agree. That was one a the best day ever, not killin a deer.
