Saw this little one yesterday in Russell Co. That's some pretty late breeding.

that fawn is at least two months old, probably closer to three. I've seen em hold spots for 4-5 months of age.

Learn something new everyday. Never thought they held them that long and never seen one with spots this late in the year. It was a tiny thing. It wasn't with a doe. It was hanging with a spike. Figure something happened to it's Mom and it was looking for company.

Ole Fred knows his fawns, that’s for sure!

Got a pair of spotted fawns showing up in one of my plots here in Covington County..I thought it was kind of odd for this time of year.

Saw a little fawn that had been run over near Scottsboro in Jackson County this past week.Would have thought it was some other animal except it was still in spots.

Is this the right time to say, "Shoot a lot more does and you'll move up the breeding period?" laugh
