Well I was in Waverly earlier today. I was grabbing my stand out of the garage and my uncle warned me to be careful. I say ok and proceed on about my day. He then tells me the neighbors say they saw a large black bear cross the creek that boarders the land. I turned around and went in the house to watch some college football. 44 Magnum will be my next purchase. You should really give up hunting lol. More people are killed by mosquitos

However I'm comfortable with it for bobcats or stray dogs which I am used to encountering. I wouldn't go out my way to bother the bear, however if he turns to walk or run towards me I have to put em down. I rather be sitting in court rather than laying in a casket because I put too much trust in Nature.

I'm serious man. I don't do bears. Call me what you want. Some animals you just don't take chances with! They really are more scared of you, if you're serious. In reality, unless you're walking around pistol drawn, it's useless unless the bear announces his presence. If ya gun hunting, you already have better protection than a pistol
