I was there before daylight this morning in one of my favorite places on Bankhead. Hunted and scouted during bow season, hunted a couple days for ML... Found a lot of doe and recently found really good buck sign... Bad part of it is, a few of the locals like to sneak dogs in there and run the deer to death... Plus, it's buck only right now... Judging by the amount of shotgun shots I heard and the number of trucks running up and down the road, seriously doubting every shot was at a buck. Makes me mad... The man hours I put in hunting and scouting, fair chase, following the rules, and then the local boys go drop off half starved hounds with no collars and ride the roads until they figure out where it's going to cross. In my opinion, any deer they shoot is illegal. There are some really good bucks in there... I'd bet a lot of the good bucks that come out of there are shot in front of dogs... Not all... There are some very good, ethical hunters that hunt in there. This has gone on for years. The game warden has been called several times... Never saw him show up... Rant over...
