Most of those "seasoned guides" are likely to be electricians, carpenters or brick layers, in the real world, because they have to put groceries on the table. I've been there, and I can tell you how frustrating it is to use every trick in the bag and hunt all the great spots, just to come up dry. Then to have some greenhorn badmouthing his guide, when just last week you were the hero of everyone in camp, knowing damn well you ain't done anything different. The secret to being a good guide is having a likeable personality and being a good baby sitter, because taking the game animal comes down to luck, most of the time.
