We read of the world’s great men when they come home, how the crowds are waiting, the cannons saluting, the flags waving…. But that, my friend, is nothing compared to the thrill of dying, for the believing Christian. To come home, to leave these old clods of clay, to be loosed from the earth, to say good-bye to all that hinders, and then surrounded by heavenly hosts be carried by the angels…amid shouts of triumph of the saints in heaven awaiting us and all the innumerable company of angels…. When one thinks of this, one may well exclaim with Paul, ‘O death, where is thy victory?’”

Jesus rose to remove the fear of death and prepare a place for us. Why should we dread such an adventure?

Instead of a dreaded experience, it will be the most glorious thrill as a fit climax to a life of trial and struggle.

Bravo! Well said.
