Bowhunter84 OP Old Mossy Horns Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 16,156 Alabaster	i shot this doe sunday morning (1/15/2012) around 8:45am. she stepped out on the gasline with another doe. they were walking across there pretty quick so i didnt have time to range them before the shot but i had ranged that hillside several times over the years and knew it was 310yds to the bottom and 350yds to the top. she was right in the middle. she was quartered to me and when i shot i could see that she was hit hard. she stood straight up on her hind legs and fell over on her back kicking. she spun around and took off running with her chest bulldozing the ground. i gave her a few minutes and went to where i had shot her and straight away there was good blood. i followed a great blood trail all of 30yds to find her laying there. after i drug her out of the woods i ranged it and it was 323yds my longest shot ever. it was the first deer i have killed with my new rifle. and i have to say the 243 did a fantastic job!!!
