I've been keeping an eye on the forecast looking forward to a nice sit with my son on Saturday morning. Forecast for our area is off and on rain today-Friday, then clearing up and sunny Saturday with a solid cold front coming through Friday/Saturday...High and low Saturday is 47/30. Deer should be moving pretty good. Should be a nice sit!

We'll be in the woods Saturday morning and over a food plot that evening. Weather should be great and the recent rain should have the plots thriving. I haven't been up there since early October so it should be a great weekend to surprise one.

Good luck. We've got commitments basically non stop but thankfully have a small open window free Saturday morning, so hopefully we'll see something. Either way it'll be fun to get out there. I haven't hunted Alabama at all yet this season.

We've got a shooting house set up on the edge of one field but also looking over/into some thick stuff and creek bottom funnel that they like to work through in the mornings. Pretty excited.

We will be in the woods Friday evening also. If the rain stops and the winds starts to lay at dark it should be good.

I'm thinking about doing the same. I think I look forward to the youth hunt as much as my sons. It is my 14 year old's turn behind the trigger first this year. Hopefully this change in the weather will get the older bucks on their feet in the daytime.

Going to be in oakmulgee somewhere. Mine has been hunting with me for 3 years and the only deer he seen was the spike he killed last year. Hoping for better results this year

We will burn that bridge when we get there

We will be in the woods Saturday. But his dumb jr high football coach (me) scheduled a season ending celebration for Friday evening. Then again as much as he like hunting, he is showing signs of the pre-rut and may be just as excited about his date to the event. Good luck to all youth hunters this weekend.

We will be out there as well. This is my daughter’s last youth hunt so she’s got to make the best of it.

I was out till 7 tonight checking cameras gonna be in the woods Friday afternoon till Sunday night we should get a couple ive got 3 kids i gotta rotate around im getting alot of movement during the day in several places. my 12 year old is almost mature enough for me to put him on his own stand probably already is im just cautious my daddy used to let me walk out the back door with a 30-30 or a .22 when i was his age. I just dont trust my kids like that yet. i had my .22 and .410 hanging in my bedroom when i was his age.

I’m gonna take my daughter Friday afternoon if the rains moved out . And sat morning if we don’t kill Friday. We went shooting last Saturday and I’m excited that she might get her first one in a few days!

Same here. I put him on my suppressed 308 and he did well for first time behind a big rifle. He's blood thirsty now.

Picking up my nephew after I get done hunting this evening. Hopefully tomorrow morning’s hunt won’t be as stressful as it was last year. laugh

I'll have my 14 y/o grandson. He's killed a 4pt and a 5 pt and several doe, so this year i'm going to make him hold out for at least a 6pt or a doe.

Haha I’d forgotten about that- that was a wild ride with a perfect finish! Little dude had nerves of steel.
