1. A bow with a proper broad head/arrow combination is a very lethal weapon.
2. If you’re not proficient enough with your bow to make clean kills then quit hunting and practice until you’re good enough.
3. I’ve killed over 100 deer with a bow and never had any issues, most drop within sight.
Not a single experienced bow hunter alive that hasn't accidentally whiffed a shot and boogered a deer up at least once.
