There is no void, or "No Man's Land", between the spine and lungs. There is, however, quite a bit of room above the spine.
I'll have to disagree with you & Shaw.If I knew how to post pictures I would show ya'll a big 8pt a buddy shot last Monday that we're still getting pictures of & can plainly see the exit wound below the spine. Just my 2 cents... There is no void between the lungs and the spine. The spine is a lot lower than a lot of people realize.
