I never understood this.
Why do folks go nuts when it gets up to this amount to buy tickets?
Hell, I'd wouldn't mind winning 5 or 10 million.
But I haven't bought a lottery ticket in 25 or so years. The higher the jackpot, the more people that play, the higher chance you have of winning. I would think with more people playing you would have less chance of winning. Just my 2.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Winning the lottery is the worst thing that can happen to a person. Many end up dead, most broke and penniless. If you don’t believe me, look it up yourself. Winning the lottery would be a catastrophe for almost anyone that won it. If you do win, set up a trust, sign the ticket as a trustee, and stay anonymous. Those are all chances I’m willing to take

I don't usually by lotto tickets, mainly because I live so far from any of our state lines, the way I see it is Someone is going to win it and it dang sure won't be me, if I don't buy a ticket....
I will say I think you have a way better chance to win a regular state lottery than one of these huge pots, when it get's up to this much money the odds of winning go way down, I think the last drawing was like 1/1 quadrillion that is just crazy....

I would think with more people playing you would have less chance of winning. Just my 2. Wrong. Regardless of how many people are playing, your odds of winning are 1:258,000,000. Doesn't matter if your the only one playing, or 200 million others are, those are still your odds. The odds that you will have to split the winnings with someone else go up as more people play.

I'm seeing odds right now are hovering around 1 and 300,000,000. It is absolutely insane that many of the people that play the lottery view the stock market as risky. They both are
