Chip Lindsey was asked after the game about what do they have to do to correct Stidham’s long balls.
His response was: "I don't really" have an exact answer.
WHAT? Your QB is struggling with deep throws and you dont know how to help him correct it? I know Gus is overpaid, but what are they paying this clown? Its his job to know. No wonder the offense is struggling

Gus already told us it was Stidhams team and they would go as far as he could take them. There is no plan except to hope Stidham was a great quarterback.

But you told us Gus would have them boyz ready to play...
We lost to AU last year because Jalen couldn't get it done. This is no different. Coaches place their trust in a guy and sometimes it doesn't work out. Gus just needs a Hawaiian. Problem is he doesn't.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.

Not sure if Gus could learn a second language quick enough to deal with a Hawaiian QB. He seems pretty set in his ways.

The plan was to put the ball in Stidham's hands and see what he could do with it. Problem is he isn't a running QB and needs protection to throw it around. He doesn't have that protection and he's totally out of rhythm and out of sorts. There is no running game to help. It's a total collapse. 7-5 is best case and 6-6 is very realistic at this point.
I can't put it all on the coaches though. Players have to play and have to execute. Sure, we need more and better players but if these guys would execute we could win some games.

I’m hoping for 5-7 so just maybe we can get rid of the “Offensive Savant” posing as our head coach

Moorehead at MSU said this week that he had to be reminded that you don't match your personnel to your scheme....you match your scheme to your personnel...Gus' scheme requires a strong running game and a QB with a real threat of running and passing.....

We lost to Auburn because Auburn got hot and was balling at the end of the year. No one could have beat them in those two weeks no matter the qb.

You must not have seen the same game as I did. AU only scored 26. I'm pretty sure Tua could've come in and thrown 2 or 3 TD's

Everybody seems to be blaming Stidham, its not him at all. He’s getting whacked on every play because of the junior high offensive line. That guy has gotten gun shy. Anybody wood. Even with that, there is no running game, the defense looks like it has given up. Keven Steele looks very frustrated. Meanwhile, Gus is fat and happy for another 6 years...
FYI, Finebaum said today that Jay Jacobs is not responsible for Gus’s new contract. The new Auburn president is who negotiated the contract. He said Jimmy Sexton played him into thinking Gus was headed to Arky. He said several prominent Auburn board members are not happy with the present situation but they’re stuck with Gus for at least 2 more years.

The auburn president is a dipschitt. Should have told Gus to take the Arky job if he wanted it instead of giving him this ridiculous contract. That's what Barry Alvarez told Bret bieliema when Bret tried to squeeze him for more cash.
We're stuck with the high school coach unless yeller fella wants to part with 30+ million.
