Shot this doe this morning at 25 yards. I'm always worried about hitting the shoulder, I know I won't penetrate it. I'm pulling 54 pounds, 24 1/2 draw.. I just know I can bust through the shoulders. I shot the pocket right behind the shoulder, my arrow broke off inside of her ( I assume I hit the back sholder) I got both lungs and had an exit hole.. I don't know why my arrow didn't pass through? When gutting the deer I found my arrow alright! smile

I don't know why my arrow didn't pass through? Answer: Combination of low draw weight, light carbon arrow with an expandable broadhead = low kinetic energy = hard to get a pass through.

I would likely have been more impressed with that picture if I hadn't been eating a bowl of cereal when I saw it. LOL

Wow! It opened! I thought Mech heads never did that. LOL!

Kidding aside, great shot.

Thanks! ha.. It opened, thats the third deer I've shot with a shwacker and they have got the job done. I've always shot fixed but long story short we were heading out of town to hunt and thats the only broadhead I could get to tune and so far so good. Slick tricks are my other choice too!
