This is a gun my uncle left to me; he bought it used when he was a kid. This is about as basic as a gun can get. Most people that handle one can't believe that it doesn't cock itself when you work the bolt. You have to cock it by hand after you load it. Yet lots of folks fed their families with guns like this, and it will still do that today. I hadn't killed a canecutter in ages; I hope he isn't tough.
