Extreme Heights Hunter (EEH) was one of the funniest posters on this forum. I also miss Rocket 62, Deadwood, and Gotca1

Has JT found his way to the big pen yet? He seemed like a good candidate for the greybar motel.

Yeh come to think of it I haven't seen Paul (Rocket62) on here in a while. He posted that awesome story and pics of his first racked buck then went quiet. We are the same age and started hunting very late in life. Very similar experiences in the woods. I helped me with his stories and advice.

Pretty sure that's Rocket from the other site mentioned in this thread. He's one of the admins. He posted in the Hunters Night Out thread in late August.

Spends all his free time out looking for rifles growing in trees. Seriously, I think he was having some health issues. yeah he was having some health problems. I haven't heard from him in awhile. We used to text back and forth some.

I doubt you'll see any of those folks back anytime soon. Same is said for other employees we've had on here over the years. Those folks tried to have good conversations and provide good content to the forum but the info was often rebuked in a less than professional/polite manner. Usually, while presenting their (professionals) side they are required to act with a certain decorum with the public. When they as professionals don't get the same level of respect they TRY and communicate with, why should they be expected to endure baseless arguments based on nothing more than emotion.
I'm not saying that any of the current or past wildlife professionals that have come through this site have never been wrong, I'm sure they'd tell you they have been and probably more than they'd like to admit (I fall into this category). However, no wildlife professional in their right mind is going to get on a public forum and provide erroneous content/commentary on topics deliberately.
And some probably just get tired of their job, employer, research, and performance getting put into question consistently simply because someone disagrees with them.
Awwww wow. Bless their little pea picking hearts! If they can't handle some criticism, or even uneducated opinions, they're in the wrong line of work. Tell them to grow some balls, and maybe a thicker skin.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I joined aldeer 14 years ago. Made some good friends along the way. Plenty of members are pleasant and enjoy interacting with resource professionals. Then there are some who act like DCNR and wildlife biologists are the ruin of hunting. It is one thing to disagree civilly. But some on here seem to make a point of insulting the wildlife management profession and, by extension, Auburn University for its role in research and management. As a conservative Christian, I am turned off by the filthy language tolerated on here and by the tendency for discussion threads to become a race to the gutter. Aldeer is what the owners and mods allow it to be. Rather than fuss about it, I spend less and less time on aldeer.

I ran into him at the processor after he'd killed his first deer ever 4-5 years ago. My boy and I were there dropping off a doe and we started talking and stayed in fairly frequent touch since then. He lives a stone's throw from me.

Tell them to grow some balls, and maybe a thicker skin. Why? They don’t need this site. The site doesn’t need them but folks did benefit from their presence. I don’t care either way, that’s just how I see it and I don’t really care if anyone agrees or disagrees. I understand there’s just some folks not worth dealing with. Doesn’t stop me from trying to contribute quality content to those that want it.

And we are very glad, Perch, or Mr. Empty Creel, is back from the haints he was fighting. If Mr. Perch behaves, I think we should keep him on a temporary, probative basis. Pretty tuff ole'fart.

Extreme Heights Hunter (EEH) was one of the funniest posters on this forum. He's still living a few miles up the road from me. He's hanging out at ghey bars from what 257 tells me.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
