So, after doing some more research after thinking I had seen a particular name before, maybe I should not be so surprised. I, also, found out that our county has had a NAACP group in the past and this person has been elected president of it at least twice. From what I have gathered, there is a certain number of members to continue to be active and that there was a decline in membership or the number of members required increased.

For those of you who have the interest and time, I have posted the following links to articles involving this person. I am quite concerned about how this individual seems to be escalating things. I do not know, personally, if the issues he has raised in the past are valid or not. What I do know is that we have a new sheriff coming into office in January. Our county has had at least four murders in the past six months and at least three drive-by's in Andalusia in the past six weeks or so (all drug related according to APD). But, with the upcoming mid-term elections looming, I do not like the direction this guy is taking at all.
