I like 8 to 9.5 in my 28. Winchester or estate loads is all I ever grab. All dad will shoot is #9 for doves no matter the gauge. I wish I could find some 8 shot local I loaded #9s in my 16ga last year as it was all the shot I could find. I was very impressed with them.
