Does anybody know the allowed vehicles on the Cedar Creek SOA? The furthest zone is about a 6 mile trek. If you can’t take a Jeep (my vehicle) an average walking speed of 3.1 mph wouldn’t get you there before day break. The time you can enter the SOA is 1.5 hrs prior to sunrise.

I'm pretty sure just on the main roads only. They have the rules on the outdoor Alabama website but there's still a few questions left unanswered. It would be nice to be able to scout it during the summer months. There's another SOA down the road on Portland Landing opening up this year too.

I got a lifted Wrangler not no AYATEAVEE. I wonder if they’ll let that on just the marked roads.

West side of Selma is your best bet for a hotel. Hopefully someone in that area down there will open up a campground if they haven't already done so. There's definitely a need for it. There's nice Corp campgrounds but they close in the winter. If I knew of a small piece of property for sale in that area I would buy it just for that reason and build a campground. I don't like the fact that folks who hunt public land around Dallas County have to stay in Selma. There's a reason I don't live in Selma anymore.....and it ain't the deer hunting.

Brother, you let me know when you plan to get the ball rollin' on this and I will go in on some property with you. We would get rich quick fast and in a hurry. I've said the same thing for years.

Almost forgot. Roland Cooper State Park is down the road towards Camden. They have full hook ups and some cabins.

Just do it all the way. Have a guy there to process the deer, store the deer, the whole 9.

Six Mile Creek is up 41 about the same distance from Roland Cooper and has a nice Corps of Engineers Campground. Roland Cooper used to have some cabins for rent, but I don't know if they still do. If you have to stay here in Selma, Hampton Inn and Holiday inn Express are you best bet, but staying at Roland Cooper or Six Mile will put you a good 20 minutes closer to your hunting spot.
Never mind, just saw the post, unless someone else needs a spot.
