Well I went ahead and did it myself. It's not the end of the world but it ain't right either. Guess it's just like everything else in life, I'll get better with practice. The main thing that makes me want to get someone else to do it is that when I look in the mirror I only have that straight on perspective and can't see my face from a profile view. I don't want to trim it and think I'm fine while I'm really walking around looking like a dufus (or maybe more of a dufus than I otherwise would) because my beard's all jacked up only I don't know it.

Sure you can. You need to get a handheld mirror. Use that to look at the mirror on the wall from any angle you want.I have to do it when I shave my head with the clippers. Don't want to run around looking like a soccer ball. grin
