There is no way he is fired. The guy was never charged or convicted of domestic abuse. What action was he supposed to take without reasonably certainty that it happened?
He's under obligation to report to the Title IX folks. It doesn't require a charge or conviction but if he has information regarding any sexual assault, abuse, stalking etc then he is under obligation by his contract to report it.
