Apparently they defy the laws of science Doekiller lol. Nothing is wrong with liking the Primo grills but there's also no denying that there's some things that go hand in hand with that design that you can't get around. Uneven temps are one of those things. Funny the friends of mine who have Primo grills says the same thing I posted above. Granted I only know of 4 that have them. But all will tell you if you put a temp probe inside you will see several degrees difference in temps depending on what area youre measuring temperature. Same way with my Green Egg always being hotter in the top of the dome than at the grate when cooking indirect

I've never had meat burn, or char, or anything else negative on the side closest to the fire when cooking indirectly, so I haven't had a reason to go chasing something that's not there. No need to place multiple thermometers around the grill for whatever reason. I put one sheet of aluminum foil against the firebox divider that reaches to just above the height of the butt, or whatever else I'm smoking. It rolls the heat up and away from the "close" side of the meat. This crap ain't that hard to figure out, folks...for me, anyway.

Your pals can't figure out putting a piece of aluminum foil to block that direct heat? You might need some new friends.

That seems like a lot of unnecessary overhead.........seems like they got a good thing going, not sure I'd mess with their business model.

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

We were nearly assured by an esteemed board member that they would be out of business soon. Deep, deep legal trouble.
