Anybody have a link/preview?
I'll take one of those 1/4 cost grills. If they are anything like the quality of my coolers, they won't have a problem keeping up with the competition.

I was thinking the same thing.

Whoever runs RTIC is using a smart but simple strategy.... figure out who is charging 3x what something is worth, make the same product and only charge 1x what it is worth.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

What difference does the lid height make? All heat passes the grill and the lid is vented.

They don't have a timeline or a price list yet but they are coming out with them, other than some time this fall.

What difference does the lid height make? All heat passes the grill and the lid is vented. It would make a difference when using a heat deflector for smoking and convection cooking.

Also with cooking space. I couldn’t stand a beer can chicken up in there, and I couldn’t smoke stuff on an elevated rack like with others.

With its design, you can probably do true indirect heat for smoking, like Primo grills have. No need for a heat deflector. Really, a superior design to BGE.

In reality this really isn't true because with the Primo grills the end closest to the firebox will be hotter than the opposite end. Also every Primo grill I've dealt with had cool spots in the corners due to how they circulate air. This is why the round shape is so efficient at keeping a stable temp throughout the entire cooking area. The downside to that is it isn't as handy when fitting ribs and long cuts of meat.

Have had a Primo for 15 years, never had a problem with anything you describe. Unloaded a BGE within a year after buying the Primo. No contest, imo.

You are saying that magically, the side of the meat closest to the side with the fire doesn't get hotter? That the temp isn't higher there than on the outer edge of the grill?
