A spin-off of the injury thread.
What fun, dumb stunts did you do as a kid?
I distinctly remember tying about 50 feet of rope and a big wheel behind a dirt bike. We had a blast. It was like pulling an innertube behind a boat but on grass. The thing would go wide on a particular turn and the spills and rolls were hilarious.
Grownups saw us and made us stop.

going to Eastwood Mall late at night, getting into a shopping cart and holding on to the back of a vehicle as it pulls you along at 20mph till ya let go. Spectacular Evil Kenivel quality wrecks. Its a wonder somebody didn't get killed or hurt bad.

Walked out to the middle of an ice jammed river. Got back 5 ft from the bank and fell through. Caught myself and climbed out. I was about a half mile from the house and hurried home. It was cold that day.

Rode spread eagle on top of a car going 55.

16 and riding on the roof of moms station wagon spotlighting deer (no gun) while 11 year old brother drove around in Sumpter Co. The State Trooper that stopped us was not amused at little brother driving. LOL

Going Cave exploring: As kids we would crawl into any sinkhole or cave like hole we could find with only candles for light. The mountainous areas were all sandstone and some of the holes that opened up were because of the sandstone shifting. We didn't quite grasp this idea as kids and thought we were exploring Indian caves looking for artifacts. I'm convinced it is by the shear grace of God and several worn out Guardian Angles that I'm here today because our parents had no idea were we were and what we were up to. This is only one of the misadventures from my childhood and one that still makes me shutter when I think about it.

Bottle rocket wars, pellet gun wars.

I was pulled over by a state trooper at age 12 driving my grandfather’s car on highway 31.

Me and my cousin did this, but we had flashlights, sometimes. I fell off a rock ledge one time and thought I was dead. Walked away with nothing broken thank God. Lived out in the middle of nowhere so I would ride my bike for miles via railroad cause it was much more fun than the road. You can get tons of slingshot ammo that way! We would also Wade and walk creeks and branches all day during the summer. My favorite part of summer was camping at little river mouth park. Thought LRC that was the greatest place God made, and still do for the most part.

We used to build ramps out of plywood propped on cinder blocks and pretend Evel Kenivel. The more blocks the cooler you were. It hurt like hell when the “ramp” would break and you would just crash into the cinder blocks.

We used to swim in the strip pit ponds behind our house and climb the high walls to dive in. There were some high walls that were around 100' to the top and we'd climb those to the top and dive or jump off depending how brave you were. One of those ponds while we were swimming and jumping off the high walls the law showed up with a couple tow trucks and divers. They pulled 6 cars out of that hole of water. We had no clue how close to death we were

Pellet gun fights, green pine cone fights basicly anything we could throw, climbed trees and rode them over. One day there were three of us that climbed to the top of a big sweet gum tree and was gonna tide it over. Damn thing must have been 60’ tall. Well as we flung our weight out it started to bend and as it did the middle popped out. We hit the ground like a bag of rocks. None of us could breath due to the breath being knocked out of us. Worst part was best friends mother came running out of the house asking if we were ok. We all said yes mamm. She said well you all should be dead and walked off.

Midnight, matches, gas and round hay bales on the top of a long hill. Called it great balls of fire.

I won't describe the ingredients, but my friend and I would make bombs with a 2-liter plastic bottle and some items from around the house. We'd put the stuff in, screw on the top, shake and throw. Spectacular explosions. It's a wonder, literally, that we didn't blow off a hand or kill ourselves.

There were trees covered in vines so thick you could run across them and we would play chase on top of them till they got wore out , every now and then you would run across and hit weak spot and fall 20 feet ,cant believe we didn't kill ourselves

One of the best summers of my life was the one where my best friend's brother worked at a pool supply place and had lots of access to chlorine...

When I was a teenager I lived in Missouri, me and my buddies took a old car hood and had handles and seats welded on it. Chain it to a jeep during the winter and drive through the pastures. Cold as hell, with the snow, mud, cow chit etc. Surprised I have lived as long as I have
