I mostly use Talley Lightweights but the Seekins rings are great if I just want to use 30mm rings with a rail. I think the Talley's are strong enough, though I wouldn't use them with a heavy scope on a heavy recoiling rifle. They have been known to crack at the base. I bed mine in JB Weld, which likely isn't necessary, but I think it helps reduce the flex of the base during recoil which could stress the base over time. I have no doubt that the Seekins on a good rail is a much more secure option.

No matter what is used,it will work much better if properly installed.I rarely see anyone properly install mounts. IMHO mounts should be completely degreased in Acetone and all screws and screw holes cleaned and then locktighted, before being properly torqued. That's not even mentioning proper placement on the scope to prevent interfering with the erector from torque on the tube.or several other things that need to be done or checked to properly mount any scope.
