I’ve learned that everyone who I’m sure smells like a brewery, has had exactly two beers/drinks. "A couple" is the standard answer as well as "some dude" when asked who committed a crime they witnessed being perpetrated. As for the show, I tried watching it a couple of times but I honestly didn't see anything on there that I haven't done or been part of, or supervised the officers doing it. That is one of the advantages, if you want to call it that, of working as a police officer in a small town with an understaffed department with one of the highest per capita violent crime rates in America. Selma was # 8 the last time I saw the stats. I've pretty much seen it all and done it. A Selma police officer will have worked more murder scenes in his first five years than most officers in other cities will work in their careers.
