Thanks for the condolences lol. looks like y'all stayed to the west of the eye. The eye passed us about 10 miles to our west. we has some really strong gusts of wind right at day light this morning that layed it down. in years past I've planted silver queen. last year some 50 mph winds blew some of my corn over after it had tossled and had ear's on it but it stood back up really well and didn't seem to effect my yield. This year I planted g90 because it supposedly had a thicker stalk but.... I never did get a chance to hoe dirt up on my corn because it has been too wet the last 2 + weeks. maybe the Lord was helping me out, were about to have baby #3 in the next 2 weeks so I ain't got time to be creaming corn anyhow.
