The bow has been used very little until now. But when I draw it back it creeks at about half draw and then when I get full draw I get a little pop. I've been advised to cover the wheel and cam it 15w-40 rotella but that seems a little extreme but he swears by it. Alternatives?

I don't know what you mean by covering in oil. You might try some 3-in-1 oil on the cam/idler axles. Don't get the oil on the string. Also make sure your string and cables are tracking in the idler wheel and cam properly. Make sure the cam module screws are snug and properly seated.

From what you are describing it sounds like the limbs may be the issue or the cable clips on either side of the idler wheel. I would take it to a Mathews dealer and have them check it out.

I can almost guarantee you it is the idler wheel clips. Pull the bow back and let down 3 or 4 continious times. See if this helps, but it will come back. Best bet is to take to Matthews dealer and have clips replaced.

Thanks! It worked great. I just knew it was $100 if it went to the dealer.
