They are nothing more than a starting point. They are based on previous years success, returning starters, talent, ex. However, most years they are fairly accurate. Not in contrast to you looking through your tiger glasses. As for this years iron bowl, bring it on pal. there is no way in hell ole gus can pull off two wins in a row. Enjoy 26-14 for the next 6 months, the clock is ticking....

Sporting News has Washington as #6, Auburn as #7 I bet the Opelika News has AU #1, the Husky Cougars not in top 20.

They just can’t handle the pressure or the hype This is true and my Orange and Blue blooded self will admit this. We do better when expectations aren't that high but middling. Like this year. Maybe that is a good sign. I'll get my brother in Reno to put a ten dollar bill down for me on AU winning it all. The return on that should be pretty decent. Years when the media loves them they do seem to disappoint.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
