The deer hunting in this area is great the terrain can be tuff to navigate sometimes but overall we've had good success. I also live right at mile marker 10 on 159 a little advice watch for poachers they run rapid around this area everybody who hunts or lives in this area can call the them by name but we never can seem to get ahead of them.

Me and a buddy had a turkey lease in that area 5-7 years ago and the poaching thing is spot on. There was a guy on a neighboring property who would stand on a high ridge and hoot for the 1st hour of the morning while his buddy would sneak into a gobbling bird and try to bushwhack him. One particular morning it backfired terribly on them... my buddy was able to easily get on the gobbling bird and killed him shortly after daylight. After the gunshot, the dude on the hill kept on hooting and my buddy shouted "hey - he's dead... you can stop hooting now!". Needless to say the dude stopped hooting.
