Like an idiot, i decided to walk out and drive around to come in from a closer point. Well someone was parked east and north of him. This makes 6 mornings on the pub land over on east section Dega forest. Ive heard 1-4 gobbles each morn but aint worked a bird yet. Sign is here, they just being quiet. Put some tremendous miles on my boots but aint heard a gobble past 6:53AM. That was the only gobble from a bird yesterday and he was still on roost.

That ended shortly thereafter when the loggers started at 7:00. They said they’ll be in here 2-3 weeks. Looks like I’ll be trout fishing a little earlier this year.
