My wife has me beat though. She’s even a little more Sand Mt country than I am. Keep in mind now that my grandmother wears a dress every day and her hair in a bun…. and my granddad is buried in Liberty overalls. He didn’t say a whole lot in the last years of his life. He just mostly walked the garden and watched Hee-Haw. When I was about 19….(me and my wife were just dating back then)….I brought her to meet mawmaw and pawpaw one day. After a little while of listening to my wife talk to my grandmother…..Paw Paw raised up, looked at my wife and said…..”Dad gum girl, you’re from the country ain’t ye’……”
