Geez, what a stupid statement by Dicks. Honestly, I'd have a little more respect for them if they just decided to quit selling guns altogether. Why cherry pick? Just become a sporting goods store and be done with it. They are opening a brand new one 5 minutes down the road from my house. Guess I will just have to keep on driving to the same places I've been going before they were there, no sweat off my back.
Maybe just maybe it is marketing genius at work. As many have posted, Dicks gun (low margin) selection sucks and overpriced. So if they can appeal to the liberal market, it could attract more shoppers, cause most 2nd amendment guys and hunters are passing them anyway. I am sure Dicks rather sell kids clothes and shoes vs guns.
