Tactical Outfitters builds the best ARs (north of Prattville) and if you have a problem with it he will fix it. If you use them like I do, as tools, they get lots of use and eventually something is going to need some repair. I would never buy a high dollar tool at a big box store. I don't have the experience with AR's that a lot here do, but I have one of his and I don't baby it by any means, and it still works flawlessly and shoots better than I can.

I wasn't super impressed with mine until I replaced a few things on it The only thing I can compare it to is my cousin's M&P-15, but I have zero complaints with mine and the trigger is noticeably better than the factory S&W one. Mine is his basic "service rifle" in 5.56 with a 12" quad rail. The only thing I want to replace on it is the quad rail because it's bulky and rough, but I'm the one that picked that out to begin with. I will eventually replace it with something like a slim, m-lock/keymod handguard with individual pieces of rail where I need them - but that's what he suggested to begin with, but I was on a budget and declined.

This all comes down to not following through. It is easy to be vocal on here about protecting the 2nd amendment and hollering about how it all ain't fair. Seems to be plenty that feel this way.
It is another to drive right on past Dick's and shop somewhere else even if that means throwing the local guy another $10 or $20 at the counter when you check out.
There was a big push in the 80's to buy American. This is why everything we have on the shelves at your local stores are made in China. It didn't work - Whatever is cheaper, easy or more convenient is what people will ultimately do regardless of what they say.
You won't drive past Dick's and pay $10.00-$20.00 more. Dick's has always had high prices. If you look at statistics, more people are killed every year with baseball bats than with rifles. When will they be removing bats from their shelves? I mean if they are REALLY concerned with deaths, and not just trying to be politically correct, wouldn't that be the right thing for them to do considering their so called "concern"?

Remember all the recent stuff about the LGBT crowd being upset because some poor bakery owner didn’t feel comfortable making them a wedding cake? I thought the rule of law was that a private business couldn’t just “decide” out of the blue which demographic they felt like doing business with for lawful business transactions?? I wonder if that is even lawful for them to say they won’t sell under 21 when there’s no law on the books preventing that transaction?

Lets say Dick's puts 870s on sale. A perfectly legal 20YO wants one and they refuse the sale . Is there a lawsuit there? No different than the queers and the wedding cake baker's lawsuit out west. Maybe doekiller or someone with a legal understanding will weigh in on this, I am curious as well, and have a 19 year old that needs a new gun.

I'm sure the states won't care about the age thing and possible discrimination, since a lawsuit would take years to wend its way through the judicial system to the Supreme Court. By then they could argue "See! Nothing has happened in our state since we did this so it's common sense!" and hope the libs have regained the House and/or Senate and possibly another Supreme on the bench.

No more Field & Stream/DSG. Period. Done with them, unless they reverse this horse chit Field & Stream is not related to Dick's Sporting Goods at all Dick's Sporting Goods owns a brand called Field & Stream Incorrect,"Field & Stream is a retailer of hunting, fishing, camping, and related outdoor recreation merchandise that is a subsidiary of Dick's Sporting Goods. Despite its name, the retailer has no association with Field & Stream magazine, the seminal outdoor publication, founded in 1895. There is widespread public confusion about this point, and the retailer has done little to dispel the mix-up. "On February 28, 2018, Field & Stream announced that it will no longer sell assault-style rifles, also known as modern sporting rifles; and it will no longer sell high-capacity magazines. Field & Stream said it would no longer sell firearms to anyone under the age of 21. Field & Stream said it has never, and will never, sell bump fire stocks that allow a person to modify a semi-automatic firearm to fire more rapidly.[10]"

Twenty-five years ago the then-parent company of Field & Stream Magazine sold licensing agreements to use the name. Since then that parent company sold all its publications to another one -- Bonnier Corporation.
The current magazine and parent company have zero involvement with the existing Field & Stream Shops that are a subsidiary of DSG. None. There is no crossover, partnership, association, consulting, nada. They don't do anything and the magazine doesn't have any influence on or decisions-input about what the retail store does, and vice versa.
I learned this before the Field & Stream Shops opened a couple of years ago and confirmed with a friend this morning.
