Forgive me as I have been on the road for work the last week and haven’t followed this closely. So hunting I the state is a right you can hunt your own property without a license. So how does that play with baiting if a pay to play permit is required? Seems like if vaitungis legal and hunting is a right how could they ticket you in your own property?
As we have all suspected it’s bever been about what was best for the herd it’s about damn $. I don’t bait won’t buy a permit if it passes but would think someone would enjoy arguing this in court.

We need to do whatever Kentucky does. They let you hunt near feed and they got great hunting. You can’t turkey hunt near it. You’ll notice I called it feed and not bait. Recommend y’all follow that terminology. They also have a 10 day gun season and one buck a year limit.

It will die in the Senate, as it should. Why? What would be so bad with "baiting" being legal? If you do not want to hunt over/with bait no one will make you.

Recommend y’all follow that terminology. They also have a 10 day gun season and one buck a year limit. Georgia (southern zone) has allowed hunting deer over bait for several years. They have a season from mid-August to mid-January with 3 buck limit and 10 does and it has not hurt the hunters or the deer.

I don't think a non-resident should pay any more than a resident. For anything, including a hunting license. For example, a man who grew up in Alabama, still owns property in Alabama, but moved to another state because of his work. Why should he be required to pay 10 times more for a hunting license than me?
Agree. Same for other states too. Most working folks have such little time to hunt anyhow when traveling out of state. Legislatures made these laws.

OK, just so we're clear....we're banning all guns today, and legalizing all corn? Watch out they will be trying to do that and make it were it will cost $500 to shoot a 60 pound doe on your own property. If you came from out of state already cost more.

That was the year hank Jr showed up to support it....

Just for kicks, I looked at the Mississippi non-resident all-game, turkey permit and WMA permit to see the price. It would be $350 just for those three: $300 is for the license.

I guess it takes real skill to sit over a food plot! I guess it does according to the anti corn people. I mean you have to be able to work the latch on the shooting house door. And hell don't even get me started on the skill required to open the plexiglass windows once you get inside. That's some serious Daniel Boone s##t right there that no one in favor of legalizing baiting could ever master. Skills like that are reserved for the killer elite among us.

I just hope they don’t outlaw killing spikes. God bless spikes and Nick Sabens!
