I got in some range time Monday and had a chance to shoot those 107 SMK pills out of my Remmy varmint 243. Two recipes seemed to shine at 100 yards, and they did stabilize in that 9 1/8 twists bbl, even though Sierra puts a 1:8 twist on the bullet box.. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chrono with me, but will the next time I go. The groups are slightly over 1/2 MOA, even with the flyers, so I hope they get down range fairly well too. My goal is 1250 yards.

I did get a chance to shoot at 1000 with my 308. Wind was howling at close to 15 MPH, so I very quickly decided to head back to 500 and in. I'm not good enough to shoot a 308 in wind like that yet. LOL!

Standby for pics.

Looks like a nice range, I was hoping it was local.

Take that tripod off and get you a good set of bags/rest. Your groups should get smaller.

I've shot it off those Caldwell bags in the pic, and my groups are identical. Whatever screw-ups I have are me and not the rests.
