Which is the best two-three burner that doesn't cost $400 and are they better than regular gas grills? I have read reviews that go both ways. What say you?

I'm in the market for a new grill also.... My old gas one is toast. It's a 2002 model!

I've had one for a few years and they are great until they need new grates. At that point you might as well buy a whole new grill.

I had an infrared one that came from Lowes, think they are Char-Grill brand? Hated it, replaced it with a Weber. World of difference.

The infrared is pretty much a different grate that goes in the grill. They stop up really fast. I use my grill almost nightly, and i would have to take them out and scrub all the tiny holes. It worked awesome for a little while. After about a month, i took mine out and through them away. (Assuming you're talking about a char grill brand. ) I bought a Weber about 8 months ago, and it's the best decision I've made grill wise. It rarely fares you do to design. It cost a little more, but its built A LOT HEAVIER. My weber gas grill is over 15 years old. Grilled fish last night and works as good as when it was new. Buy a weber once or buy the other cheaper brands every 3 or 4 years.

I bought a cheaper one (charbroil) and it sucked. Cleaned that sucker like crazy and it still plugged up. I ended up replacing the grates with cast iron ones. Still a junky grill but it works better.

DO NOT buy one!!!!! I did and I hate the damn thing with a passion, it has to be cleaned after every cook, when I say clean I mean you have to spray the grates down with easy off and scrub them with a wire brush to even get them close to clean.....
