Been thinking about getting one of these in a 300 win mag, does anyone have one? Just wondering about reviews on it. Thanks in advance.

Every Tikka rifle I have ever fired was accurate and the bolt ran smoothly. That being said, I have no idea why you would want to fire a 6 lb .300 Win Mag

I have hunted with the 300 win mag for over 30 years. Love the round but in my opinion that is way too much kick for that light a gun. You will NOT enjoy shooting it. A muzzle break brake will help a little but you will be deaf in 5 years. LOL

I’ve got one in 270 and love it but a 300 would sure be a handful

My best friend has one in .300wm. When we were working up loads for it we had to take turns testing them. Recoil was absolutely brutal. I have.338wm and.300rum so I'm not recoil sensitive.

We ended up epoxying a hydraulic recoil tube into the butt of the stock which helped a bunch.

We ended up with 180 grain Bergers at close to 3200fps. It will shoot them into 0.50" if you do your part.

Ha I would think pushing that slug at that velocity would make it rather challenging to do your part consistently!

Flinchomatic! When it kicks that bad you can develop a flinch that takes a lot of practice to get over.
