I don't blame him for needing another officer with him after the shooting. Would you want to, patrol by yourself knowing help is at least 30 minutes away?
Not to de-rail this thread (because it is important), but...when seconds count, LE is mere minutes away. Sounds familiar don't it? Yet common folk can't carry a handgun (in their vehicle) for protection without paying the greedy sheriffs first. Sorry...back to the murder in little mogadishu.
I thought people could carry in their vehicle now without a permit.
