Went hunting this morning in the pouring rain. I got rain gear and for some reason enjoy seeing the woods when it rains. I also still/stalk hunt most of the time When gun hunting so it's much easier to sneak around. Anyways, bout 8:00, my IBSD started acting up. I can't explain how bad my stomach hurts when this happens. Best I can explain, it feels what I would imagine a knife being stuck in your lower intestine and twisted around a bunch would feel like. It comes in waves and they get worse and worse. I've had a colonoscopy done etc. and the doctors can't seem to find a antidote. Even $1600 worth of medication only worked for about a month. So, it starts acting up and then a yearling buck came strolling through and started nibbling on some privet. A nice yearling too, a wide 4pt that looked like he weight 30lbs and just lost his spots. So I'm watching him and the waves of pain get worse and worse. Then, he beds down under a small cedar. I'm sitting there about to lose it but don't want to ruin the hunt. After a few minutes it's over, I'm done. I jump up, pull my pants down, in the pouring rain and let it fly. That poor little deer looked so shocked either by me jumping up, the noises he heard coming from my backside or both that he just layed frozen bedded down for like 5 seconds staring at me before he hopped up and hauled ass outta there. Lol, I'm pretty sure I scared him worse than any gun shot would ever do.

Sorry for your pain BB, I hope they find a remedy. I'll admit that would have scared the chit out of me too!

That reminded me of the time I was fishing with my father in law on a public lake and nature called. Took a while to get to the bank, he jumped out and drop his pants and let it fly. The sound effects and the site of it combined with facial expressions of bystanders was unforgettable. I laughed so hard I was crying. Thanks for sharing..LMAO.

I don't believe I would have told that.

If you've never had to spray the woods like a skunk from some lower intestinal distress whilst up a tree, keep hunting it'll eventually happen to you too. It's happens all the time, I just this time in particular, it was funny

I know this may be a little off subject but have you ever tried Hydrogen peroxide treatment for IBSD ? You would have to buy 35% food grade HP and start with 3 drops per 5oz of purified water 3 times a day for day one and increase to 4 drops and 6oz 3 times on day 2 and so on and so forth. You do this for 30 days and it works wonders like you wouldn't believe. Just something for you to think about and maybe investigate and or try
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

I appreciate that deadeye, I'll for sure give it a try. It bothers me all the time, luckily I'm a surveyor so I'm in the woods all the time, so I can "relieve" my self anytime haha.

I had the same problem after having my gall bladder out , 2-3 times a week . Started taking probiotics and ended problem , sometimes too well !

Just take you a empty paint can and a roll of charmin to the tree with you lol. In all seriousness I hate that for you but I am going to be very skeptical it HP curing IBSD since IBSD means you have the disease and not just IBS. But miracles happen every day. FWIW

I suspect that anyone who has spent any measurable amount of time in the woods has had to hustle to get their pants down. I've certainly had more than my share of rapid descents to take care of business.
One of the funniest was my son who came to the truck after a hunt with a huge hole in the front of his shirt. He couldn't get to the top of his socks. To this day - we use that shirt as a cover for the camera and tripod when we turkey hunt.
