Byrnes Lake Landing. A member here PMed me a spot and after that we were planning to hit the Chuckfee bay area. I welcome any advice.

When you come into Chuckfee, there is a channel off to the west side of the bay. Work your way past the camps and you'll see a creek come in. Go on up past that creek and you'll see that second channel/creek that I'm talkng about. It basically runs parallel to the main bay in a half moon semi-circle all the way up until it intersects with some other creeks on the very north end of the bay. Look at it on a map and you'll see what I'm talking about. When I used to tournament fish over there and was on the water there a good bit, I used to always hear and see hogs working my way up that channel described above. It's in between Chuckfee Bay and 12 mile Island. It's only about 500 yds of woods/marsh between that channel I'm talking about and the Mobile River where it splits around 12 Mile. Kinda forms a pinch point. There will be hogs there at some point during the day.

You can also run north up Tensaw out of Byrnes. Go past the railroad crossing and you'll see what we call the gas line canal over on the west side. Unless it is backed up and full of logs which happens sometimes, you can run it all the way across the delta over to Bayou Sara in Saraland. It's only about 20 yards wide in most places and you can idle down it and really cover some ground. I've seen and heard a pile in there too. You'll just need to be careful about making sure you're on open land. There used to be some private pockets in there and I'm not sure that forever wild got them all cleared out when they bought it and turned it into the mgmt area. Map should tell.
