Not sure if y’all seen this or not so I though I’d post. This deer was hit by a car just prior to deer season last year in Ft Campbell Kentucky. The biologist at the base offered to give her the buck but she declined and gave it to the Ft Campbell fish and wildlife branch. From an article I read after if happened I think the biologist aged it at 7.5, I have no idea what it scored.

Thanks for the link Clem. I know there’s a lot of deer at Campbell, I did some training there a few years ago I couldn’t remember the amount deer I saw in 2 weeks. I should have asked to stationed there years ago. There hunntig rules are a little different than Fort Bragg. I believe you are allowed two bucks a year and they must have 4 points on one side or a 15 inch I spread.

I've said it before on here but I've seen some dang monsters up there. I'm not surprised a bit by this one. Beautiful buck.

Always wondered, why is it OK to kill deer like this in a high fence military post but not in a high fence Texas ranch?

And the taxidermy work is pretty doggone awesome.

we used to hunt in the fence at the Armys Childersburg Powder Plant, nobody complained about a fence back then.

Are there any high fence military posts? I know that Redstone and Campbell are not.

Childersburd Powder Plant was high fenced back in the 60's when we hunted it.
