When I was walking in this afternoon I heard one grunt. After starting there for a few minutes I saw a big ol buck walking in the woods. The only shot I had was to shoot him in the rear hind quarters so I didn't take the shot. I'm hoping he walks another couple 100 yards to my stand and he will be going on the wall

Had very little rain here in Clarke county till now. Haven't seen a thing all day. Heard some pigs and found a couple of scrapes.

Didn't kill the big one but I killed a nice one. One of the best hunts I've had in a long time. I'm trying to get out of the woods without getting stuck. Pics to come

My day stunk. Hurry up and post a pic JD so I can see what a deer looks like.

Yeah, what he said. I'm going to start telling people I'm hunting unicorns. Seems I'd have just as good of chance to see one of those.

[Linked Image][Linked Image] . Well the big one got away or never came back where I was sitting. It was flooding where I was and I had a doe and a spike come in and feed in the green patch. At 4:45 I looked up and the buck I shot was running across the field. I hallered at him about three times and he finally stopped right at the wood line. I piled him up went and drug him outta the field was just gonna sit until the rain stopped to get him out. A little while later I had a nice six point come in then a cow horn and a spike. It was definitely a great hunt and more than I expected in the pouring down rain. I'm headed north to the camp tomorrow and hopefully they will be moving good up there
