House I grew up in had a large cemetery behind it. We bordered its back most part. Never even paid it any attention. Rarely ever saw anyone back there and it was always quiet. Dont like the view plant some evergreens down the property line.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

That is an odd shaped cemetery. I bet there are unmarked burials in the tract you are considering.

I wouldn't build in the city limits if you're planning on this being the permanent homestead. I don't want neighbors too close or city idiots telling me what I can or can't do to my own property No offense but I didn't ask your opinion. I have an 8 year old and a 4 year old. My 8 year old is in 2nd grade but his reading and math are on a 4th grade level according to the progress report I got today. Keeping them in a Nationally Ranked Blue Ribbon School is mandatory which means we have to stay in city limits. Plus I like being close to town yet with enough property to wander.

Can you shoot in the city limits there The property across the street to the west is actually county. So yeah I could get buy with a shot here or there. I have a private range 15 min from there so it's not a big issue. I would bow hunt the property anyway

I used to live right across from there. Gray house with big pond behind it across hwy 5. I lived on about 30 acres and had a little range set up. First time I shot some guns I had 3 jasper city cops show up. They were nice. They looked at my range and saw everything was safe and left, asked me to call and let them know when I shoot. I would call and give them a heads up and they were cool about it. Thats not a bad area. I never had any issues at all there and it doesn't feel like city limits. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions. I live not far from there now.

I don't want neighbors too close or city idiots telling me what I can or can't do to my own property Nauvoo ain't really a city. More like a small community. With 33 acres you won't know you're in the city. Looks like that is actually in Jasper not Nauvoo.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

Well my mother in law said there was no way she could stay there Buy it! Buy it quick! That's the best reason yet.

Wouldn't bother me a bit. Actually, it would make it more attractive to me personally. You're guaranteed nothing will be built on that side of you. I used to rent a place that butted up next to a cemetery, years ago. Not trying to be funny but it was very quiet. I was hesitant at first but ended up liked living there.
