It's looking like a rainy messy weekend in southern Montgomery county. Have seen some young bucks pushing does but no good chasing yet. Do y'all think the weather will have them hunkered down all weekend even if they are starting to rut? Trying to decide to make the trip from South Georgia or not!

What do y'all think will be the best option for sitting in the rain? Shooting house looking down a powerline, shooting house on food plots or ground blind in hardwood bottom? Haven't had much experience in rainy weather during the rut.

I want to see as much area as I can where the does are near some real thick areas and thickets.

From what I saw last week I'd hunt in the rain.

I have not seen the weather stop my teenage boy when he goes in rut... figure the same for bucks. when it is on it is on- rain or shine.

It's been going hard for the last 8 or 9 days and should be good rain or shine this weekend. All it takes is that one hot doe.

It�s 50% for Saturday and Sunday. I�ll be out early am on Saturday and it will take lightning to get me down. But then again I don�t start hunting until the second weekend in January. So come on over and hunt when the hunting is good. Good luck to y�all!

As soon as the rain stopped this afternoon, deer were moving bigtime. Bunch of does and saw 2 racked bucks that I hadn't seen before. It's about to be on like donkey kong

Thanks for the replies. My wife and I are gonna head over Friday night and brace the rain with the rest of y'all. I killed a good buck a couple weekends ago and I really wanna put my wife on a good one before the end of the season.
