I have to agree. The cold is hard on my bones

I had planned on hunting today but when I got up this morning and saw how hard the wind was blowing to go along with the cold temps I just went back to bed.

Momma was sho' nuff warm when I snuggled back in beside her.

Much better than a cold deer stand!

Boy we sure had fun those few days of 60's. Got out and had a good time cutting up with some friends. Beer flowed like water like it was spring time! Now back to winter

I've been sick since Christmas and haven't felt like doing anything. I was gonna go hunting today but decided yesterday I just wasn't up to it. It's 73 degrees inside and I'm still cold. Plavix is just one of the things that make my life a little more miserable. And the Hemorrhoids are not helping. Nor is the prostate infection. And the back and leg pain is 24/7. If I were a horse they would shoot me.

I don't mind the cold. But I hate the 50 degree temperature swings from one day to the next.
I want move somewhere with an actual winter.

Fur, the ground was good and spewed up this morning here in Pickens County. There was no slipping to the stand, that’s for damn sure. I made it til 10 with that brutal north wind in my face. Didn’t see squat.

I didn't see squat either, but I've been sitting in my recliner in the warm house since I got out of bed. The ground is spewed up here too. Not because I saw it, but because I know it is. LOL It'll be muddy too when it thaws out.

Me too. Have you got a spot picked out? The Black Hills of South Dakota is lovely in the fall. Not sure about the winter.

This is the first cold winter in 5 years. I like it warm but I’m not complaining.

In all seriousness, I don't particularly like it when it gets this cold either. Once I get chilled I have to go take a hot shower to shake it off of me. I start feeling like I'm chilled to the bone. It sure does make the hunting better though. If you're not seeing deer during these really cold days then try changing your tactics. Hunt later in the mornings.
